Overlooking Burrard Inlet, backed by the Coast Mountains is some of the Lower Mainland’s best scenery . This area has most everything, alpine wilderness, canyons, rivers, ski facilities and great shopping. North Vancouver was incorporated in 1891 and became a city in 1907. It’s waterfront was one of the first on the Lower Mainland to be developed and still remains a very active port area.
The early sawmills of the 1860’s are long gone, and the area is now mainly residential and recreational. Both the city and the district are well established areas, with lots of trees and west coast flavoured homes.

 Access:
North Vancouver, on Hwy 99 is only 8km (5mi) north from downtown Vancouver.
To cross Burrard Inlet, Hwy 1 will take you over the Second Narrows Bridge,
Hwy 99 travels the Lions Gate Bridge or take the Sea Bus to downtown Vancouver.
From Vancouver Island take the B.C. Ferry to Horseshoe Bay. The Vancouver International Airport is just a 35 minute drive to North Vancouver.
